Thanks to all the awesome posters for keeping us sick/sane with new music - you know who you are! Fantastic but busy summer up here north of the 45th parallel on the Great Lakes, hence, the lack of updates. Had a wonderful experience DJing a wedding, being able to play Bowie's "Sound and Vision" alongside Klimek's "Gymnopedie #1" alongside The Doors' "Indian Summer" alongside Spiritualized's "The Slide Song" alongside Dif Juz's "Soarn," -- you get the idea. I hope to get back on track as far as updating as autumn approaches. Enjoying reading Keith Richards' Life as well. As Jim Reid once sang on a favorite Mary Chain b-side of mine, "Keep on comin'."

Far Gone and Out
Wow! What a busy two months - april and may that is. This list of wants, gets and the like, has been accumulating since then. Youth soccer, some editing freelance work and other fatherly duties has kept me from listening to much of this. I've come to the realization too, that my lists are going to get shorter the more time goes by and the kids get more involved with activities. Time to focus on what's more crucial and not all the "maybes" to my particular taste in music.
Had the chance to catch Spiritualized in Detroit last month. What a show! The new stuff was great, but the surprise of the evening was a real powerful rendition of long forgotten Ladies & Gentlemen track, "Stay With Me." Only disappointed in the fact he couldn't play "Get What You Deserve."
Summer's here so thankfully release schedules should slow down for a few months and maybe I can catch up on organizing my music folders a bit. BIM reunion coming closer, still gotta make some playlists for that fun time, as well as the wedding playlists for August. Here's to keeping up a bit more regularly. The jams:

Fortune presents gifts not according to the book

Schnee Bud

(Nothing but) Blood
Small post today just to stay on top of it. Life's going a little too fast for end of January. DJing a wedding in August ~ got a little anxiety about that - figuring out the stereo setup, picking out appropriate tunes at the right time, going through my collection, etc. Soccer meeting next week, and hopefully some freelance work in a few months. As always, way too much great music and not nearly enough time to give it a proper listen.
