pre-shoegaze (1980s)

A selection of tracks from artists that would ultimately culminate in a style of music universally known as shoegaze. These songs embody some sound characteristics -- including layering, a multitude of effects and noise -- to push the boundaries of what can be done within the parameters of a pop-song format.
